Vista Design for Purolator
Role:
Product Designer
Responsibilities:
User Research, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Journey Mapping
Challenge
Vista, a package tracking app using customizable electronic labels, needed a redesign to address key client pain points. These included a cluttered interface with all functions on one screen, a small map with blocked areas, too many location alerts, and no filter options for events or time.
Solution:
Conducted market research on map and filter functions from apps like Google Maps and Airbnb.
Collaborated with the product manager and developers, iterating on low-fidelity designs and addressing development constraints.
Developed high-fidelity prototypes and worked closely with developers to integrate the designs.
Results:
Implemented a larger, less cluttered map.
Consolidated functions into one screen for easier navigation.
Added event and time filters.
Reduced the prominence of map pins for a cleaner user experience.
